A word used to describe many things the word pleasure can evoke thoughts of pleasant content. A versatile word pleasure is a noun and a verb used in the context describing feelings of satisfaction and delight. Dictionary definitions of the word pleasure as a noun include the state or feeling of being pleased, worldly or frivolous enjoyment as in the pursuit of pleasure. As a verb the word pleasure is equally descriptive say as an agreeable or enjoyable sensation or emotion as in the enjoying the pleasure of someone's company.

Boating enthusiasts may use the word pleasure in the context on a pleasure craft, pleasure boat, or for some the term pleasure cruise may be used to describe an upcoming vacation. Horse enthusiasts may use the word pleasure in the context of a pleasure horse, one that is owned from pleasure rides in contrast to competitive events. The famous philosopher, artist and scientist Leonardo da Vinci may have put it best when he said "The noblest pleasure is the joy of understanding".
